This year, Cognoscenti Management partners with HALIBS - an organization dedicated to creating an environment conducive to learning in Africa by supplying children in elementary, primary, and secondary schools with educational books, supplies, and self-standing libraries. Help African Libraries (HALIBS) aims to alleviate poverty and sickness through education for African Youths.
Cognoscenti Management will manage a book and supply drive, and fundraising campaign, entitled The Connect. The Connect campaign will bridge the gap between students in the DMV Area and students in the African countries of Sierra Leone and Gambia, by identifying a necessity for a global commitment to the advancement of learning. During the campaign, HALIBS will collaborate with students, organizations, and companies in order to raise funds, books, and school supplies to send to schools in Africa including: Wisdom Nursery School, Brikama Methodist Academy, and others.
